Stepping workplace wellbeing up a gear
This year, we're giving wellbeing a big push - a bit of a work hard, work-out hard attitude to finding the perfect balance between desk and gym time, helping improve mood and decrease feelings of anxiety and stress.
First off for 2019 we opened the FitPit! A brand new, dedicated work-out space right here in the office. This means that in between meetings, in our lunch break or after work, we can stack up some extra steps, stop the world for a bit of mindfulness or get stretchy with a yoga session.
We're also making a bigger deal of workplace wellbeing and looking at lots of initiatives to balance the load - this includes finish early Fridays every week from the end of May with an early knock-off time of 4 pm so we can make the most of the longer, lighter evenings.
And, our social committee groups are hard at work planning in 6 fundraising-related activities for the year, all raising funds for our chosen charity, MIND – the mental health charity.
Finally, we're always looking at new ways suggested by our staff to make BWP the best possible place to work - from a treat box to dip into when you've achieved something big, to pizza Friday once a month. So, if you've spotted an excellent idea to support workplace wellbeing, we'd love to hear about it too.
