Delivering something tasty for IKEA
IKEA’s winter campaign focuses on taking the stress out of preparing and hosting this festive season. Our research suggested that 42% of people find hosting Christmas the most stressful challenge of the year and that people spend up to 270 hours preparing for Christmas. So, we decided to create an event targeting influencers to help IKEA to reach a wider audience with its message.
We invited a group of lifestyle bloggers and social influencers to join us for a Festive Feast hosted at IKEA Tottenham. We partnered with blogger duo ‘The Secret Styling Club’, who boast some 55,000 fans, to deliver a demonstration of three key looks for the festive table. Keeping the event interactive, influencers got hands-on with preparing simple festive canapes and making personalised Christmas tree cutlery holders as well as enjoying a delicious, but simple to prepare, buffet meal.
All the invited influencers shared Instagram stories about the event and the blog posts created relayed the key sentiments of making preparing for Christmas a doddle this year.
