BWP scores in Scotland

BWP Group has been appointed to deliver Scottish shopping centre Ocean Terminal in Leith, Scotland as a waterfront outlet shopping and leisure scheme by owner, Resolution Property.  We will manage and deliver the entire rebranding process to launch the scheme as Porta, one of Scotland’s best retail and leisure destinations, in 2019.

An exciting development for the town of Leith, Porta’s £15million redevelopment and fresh identity will coincide with the introduction of a new whisky distillery and hotel, housing projects and a tram line to improve transport links with Edinburgh city centre.  The town’s redevelopment, alongside Porta’s refreshed appeal, will drive more visitors and inject new life into the area.

From the name to the branding, positioning and ongoing marketing, BWP Group will be supporting Porta as part of the wider town’s regeneration programme.  The 407,000 sq ft scheme is set across 3 floors and already features an appealing mix of high street and designer brands, as well as cinema, gym, skate park, and soft play.  Its extensive internal and external refurbishment will align with the introduction of its new outlet positioning and make Porta a must-visit destination for Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.

The redevelopment of Porta is an exciting project for BWP; it sits right in our sweet spot as a start-to-finish rebrand, including the development of strategic positioning and identity.  As a specialist retail and leisure agency, the chance to support a scheme transitioning from full price to outlet offering is a rare opportunity and one that we are thrilled to have been given.
